Au Pair Acitivities

Your American host family will be in one of our 165 cluster areas in the US.  Each of these is supported by our local Au Pair in America representative - the Community Counsellor.  Each month the Counsellor arranges a monthly 'get-together' for all the au pairs in the cluster.  These meetings are great fun, whether it's a simple meeting at the Counsellor's home to catch up or great events like white water rafting.  Watch this space to see what cluster events are being arranged...
This month, au pairs across America got to grips with many different activities, from watching sports to making arts and crafts.  A great time was had by all!

Making friends through fun and games is an important part of being in an Au Pair Cluster

  • The New Jersey Cluster attended a free outdoor concert at a local park. Rhythm & Blues, as well as Top 40 chart hits were on the schedule.  Their Community Counselor brought the snacks, which they worked off by dancing the night away!
  • Fun and games were had in Chicago when the cluster took to the Navy pier, where they rode the ferris wheel and watched fireworks.
  • Au Pairs in North Carolina  enjoyed watching a local baseball game, complete with post - match fireworks!
  • The Georgia Cluster decided to take things a little slower this month by holding a scrap booking meeting.  The girls learned how to present their photos and souvenirs in a way that would give them the best memories.
  • San Jose's au pairs were also creative this month and went to paint pottery.  The girls loved it and their Community Counselor was impressed by how creative they were.  They also worked on a group Au Pair in America plate which the Counselor will keep in her office
